Delusion can exist in infinite forms and with Delusion comes darkness, the inner darkness.
Neither “Modern Economy” nor “Society” nor any Government wants you to become Wise as this will give big negate to those sitting in powers
The situation at micro and/or macro level is good or bad depends from what eyes one is looking but if we see from humankind way and if we explore this to other areas, the problem can be seen and once problem is diagnosed then solution can be given and nurtured. The reason I am using the word “given and nurtured” as the solution is already there in Indian ancient Vedas, Jain Agam, Upanishads, puranas, etc.
Well today, all the major problems including individual’s problem are due to delusion but no one wants to understand the meaning of “Instinct of Delusion”
Delusion means Illusion, fallacy, misconception, misunderstanding and in Hindi it is termed as “Bhram”, “Dhoka”, “Kapat”. Instinct means leaning and in Hindi it means “स्वाभाविक प्रवृत्ति”. The terms Instinct of Delusion is the biggest worry in humankind and no one wants to understand this term and come out of this to have a blissful life.
What does “instinct” mean here?
An instinct is an automatic inner tendency meaning thereby that something we do or feel without consciously reasoning it out. When that instinct is governed by MOHA, a person may:
• mistake the temporary for the permanent;
• see possessions, status or relationships as “mine”;
• react with anger, pride, deceit or greed;
• pursue pleasure believing it will give lasting happiness;
• identify the self (soul) with the body, emotions or possessions.
Instinct of delusion can be said to be an automatic tendency to perceive and react to life through attachment, aversion and wrong identification.
We have choose to become the puppet of Modern Economy and at such level the Modern Economy concept has reached that we have started believing in the life of Delusion. There is a delusion in every aspect of our life, be it relation, employment, etc and such Delusion is just increasing and no one cares for dilution as dilution needs efforts and strong heart to know the fact and truth.
Emotion itself is not delusion but it does take away towards delusion. Emotions play heavy role in our mind and then issues such as stress, depression, etc causes mental health and suicide is the next level if not the only level taken by humans.
Our body is full of science which our ancients saints had covered it very well knowing how it works and what it needs rather than today’s science covering this aspect. There is no doubt that body needs rest, body needs solace, body needs time to regenerate every day, energy needs to be saved for much bigger goals, there is a need of you talking to yourself anytime everywhere and also the time is there to do the same, You may find that in the name of morning walk and/or exercise including jogging, public have made it more of a fashionable statement. Morning is the time you need to speak and keep your mind calm and ensure your both minds are in control but we are keeping the mind busy by using for other activities such as loud music, etc. One has to understand that Science can tell us how the body works; wisdom asks us how the person using that body should live
Delusion in our mind is creating a lot of imagination and is like the waves in the ocean which goes from one way to other and if someone says this is life, truth is No but delusion.
There was a seminar organised at Kandivali wherein one person was asked why you wear costly blazers, watch and his reply was “I have money and I like to put on and this gives me confidence”. This reply was appreciated by many and stated that “What an attitude he as” and many of them thought him as role model. If this is not delusion then what it is? Acharya Mahapragya who is famously called as Swami Vivekananda of Modern Era was the man who possessed all great knowledge and supreme mind but was a Monk and never had any such delusion in his life as he was there for all and whoever wanted to know, he was there. Today delusion has become the way of life and to such an extent that we as humans are appreciating such delusion and this is nothing but we are living in second world where there is nothing truth at all.
Delusion occurs when we confuse the external object with the internal state we believe it will produce. This can be well explained as under:
• Luxury watches = This will make me confident
• Expensive clothes = This will give me status
• Social media likes = This proves I am valuable
• Alcohol = This will make me enjoy life
• 24×7 work = This will make me happy and successful
• Possession = This will make me secure
The query which comes to my mind and we shall all ask is “Are we actually buying the object or buying the feeling we believe the object will give us?”
One of the most widespread delusions of modern life is the belief that because life is short, the only sensible response is to maximise pleasure which includes bad habits. This is good but the negative signs are showing as all are more intent to go on such path which has no end. More you try to make them understand they will show either share the idioms and or avoid.
This phrase can be well explained in a story, as under:
Lalit had what most people would call a successful life. At 38, he had a prestigious designation, a beautiful apartment, an expensive car, thousands of followers on social media and a calendar that was always full. His phone never stopped buzzing. Every notification gave him a small sense of importance. He was convinced he was happy. One evening, after a long day at work, Lalit came home and stood in front of the mirror. He looked exhausted. His eyes were tired, his shoulders were stiff, and his face had lost the freshness it once had. His wife walked past him and quietly said, “You don’t look happy anymore”. Lalit immediately became defensive. “Of course I’m happy. Look at everything I have”. She smiled and asked only one question “I asked how you are. You showed me what you have”. Lalit had no answer. That night, for the first time in years, he switched off his phone. And in the silence, something uncomfortable happened. He began to hear his own thoughts. He realised that much of what he called ambition was actually fear—fear of being ordinary. Much of what he called confidence was actually ego. Much of what he called love was actually attachment and much of what he called success was simply comparison. He suddenly understood that nothing outside him had necessarily deceived him. His own mind had. He had been living in a room filled with light, yet carrying darkness within himself.
The above story is a pure case of delusion in this modern era
Delusion does not always look like ignorance. Sometimes it looks like success.
The human who are avoid of delusion are actually happy and as said and as well known, One who control the mind is a winner
Perhaps the greatest question of modern life is not “What do I want?” but “Why do I want what I want?”
Let me say that Delusion is very dangerous as “Delusion can exist in infinite forms. Its language changes with time, but its consequence remains the same i.e. inner darkness”
