Today Youth = Nation Builders or Nation Destroyers?

The real crisis facing Indian youth is not a lack of education. It is a lack of direction. Not a lack of information, but a lack of wisdom. Not a lack of freedom, but a lack of self-control.

Protest is the right, do it and nobody will stop you and you shall appreciate that it was never stopped (remember what Congress did to Great Ramdev Baba on his protest but there was and is no one even talking about). Protest was started for NEET issue and day by day we saw students nothing to be with NEET or infact to say were even unaware of the protest issue however we can accept the fact that Protest be done by anyone. But did anyone notice the Language of today Youth, Respect towards PM of a Nation.

The most intriguing part of this Protest is that how the Youth used the Language and how they even went beyond disrespect. You will always see that uneducated people in Parliament or educated but with struggle and/or knowing the respect they got from their Parents behave and the Languages which are used. The Language which was used and or respect of this Youth Protest was somewhere matching with Mr. Rahul language and respect and everyone knows the disrespect and odd behaviour and immaturity of Mr. Rahul.

A democracy gives you the right to protest. It does not give you the right to dehumanize. You can oppose a Prime Minister without insulting the person. You can question a government without abusing the institution. You can disagree passionately and still remain dignified. We cannot blame society for everything. At some point, the individual must take responsibility for what he watches, what he speaks, whom he follows and what he becomes.

Indians are known for their culture and culture does not mean religion but the Respect Culture and Language Culture. There is no doubt that in Mumbai “CHINDI” Languages is used and this is also same in most of the cities in India. There was a time and still in certain areas where irrespective of your hatred and issues, respect does not come down.

The Indian culture never disrespected anyone with their behaviour or else. If you have seen the greatest personalities always had their command with respect and behaviour for anyone. What congress did to Modiji for Gujarat Riots, but I never saw Modiji using this Language. He used his mastery orator skills to bring down the competitors. Today youth are just losing their ancient history of India. Whether it be Jain, Hindu, Buddhism, Jews, Islam in certain areas, Sikhs, even Adivasi, etc. All culture had the respect and Language in which be spoken and behaved.

This protest proved that today Youth are just not in their own control but are having flickering mindset to copy and follow anyone. I saw the manner in which CJP people spoke and this was and is the most concerned part. Even if the Kejriwal has loads of issues with Modiji but there is respect atleast in terms of Behaviour and Language. Youth are just getting fall and today Nation needs Youth who understand India, knows ancient India but it is just getting degraded day after day. There is no doubt that even the Bollywood movies are using such language which are followed and copied by today Youth. Today Youth are just getting distracted from all aspects and rather than contributing for Nations growth which will come only when an individual knows how to Respect.

Let me tell you that Digital Gurukul is the main issue in real. Ancient Gurukul taught discipline, self-control, respect, questioning and independent thinking. Today, the smartphone has become the new classroom—but who is the teacher? The algorithm. Unlike a Guru, the algorithm does not necessarily want you to become wiser. It wants you to stay engaged. Our ancestors had Gurukuls where the Guru trained the mind. Today we have algorithms that compete to capture the mind. The question is: Who is winning?

Balance is the word which has kept this Earth alive, universe alive, family alive and life too. The most balance is shifted on one side it creates disturbances.  The Excessive Time Indian Youth spend watching short-form content like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts has escalated into a severe public health and economic concern, officially flagged in the country’s Economic Survey. Studies reveal that urban Indian young adults (aged 18–24) average over 120 minutes daily specifically on social media platforms, while overall adolescent screen time has spiked to a staggering 6 to 7 hours per day. There is no doubt that huge rise in reel addiction is coming as a genuine growing crisis and this is actually reducing the economic and productivity thereby affecting Nation at end

This is sad but yes, it is true. I don’t think it is the fault of youth alone. Today we live in an era of communication boom, social media rules our way of life and what not. We do not follow great thinkers and leaders instead we follow bollywood stars and social media influencers. We want to become the next YouTube star, we want to be liked on Moj, we are mad for attention and money. Respect is no longer earned by your character or deeds, but the number of followers on instagram and likes on reels.

We need to máke our children believe in the goodness of karma, involve them in cultural festivities, talk about past family ways of staying in touch with out mobiles or social media. Today I see even 8 year olds making reels on instagram, making profile of Facebook, using YouTube to recreate latest dance Hits on vulgar songs that actually they don’t even understand, young girls giving such odd and provocative expressions. This is crazy!

Respect matters lot and one feel that it does not has any role to play in someone life then you can try and see. Our Indian education system of ancient was Gurukul and the major aspect of their studies was always behave properly, give respect to elders, show maturity, have your own choice, mind be under your control, to not take action based on what others say but your mindset, etc

The more today Youth are going far away from Indian ancient history is dangerous to India and this is nothing but majority mistake of our Education system where we are only interested in teaching what western teaching are and have neglected our own Indian history. Elon Musk is teaching his kids in Latin but we Indians are more towards other teaching rather than our own. Indian education and history is so rich and minutely perfect that ancient world used to learn and now we Indians are neglecting the India’s rich history. That is sad and very sad

We actually need to understand, communicate and show the youth that sincerity, gratitude, empathy and strength of character are far more important than looking hot, having hundreds of followers on social media platforms and being called sexy instead of graceful.

It is often said that the future of India lies in the hands of its youth and that they alone can lead the country toward prosperity. I disagree. Today’s Indian youth seem concerned only with their own prosperity and that of their families. They care little for the well-being of the Indian people. The truth is that Indian youth today are utterly selfish and unpatriotic. They seem to want are comfortable, well-paying jobs after finishing their education, whether in the civil services, the corporate sector, as doctors or engineers, or by moving abroad to settle in a Western country (like most IIT graduates) and to hell with India

The time has come for Parents to know that more we go away from our roots we are actually breaking our Indian system which has been upright since ages centuries back. Parents have to get up and speak to their childrens.

The future of India will not be decided merely by how many young people get degrees, jobs or followers. It will be decided by how many young people learn to control their minds, respect those with whom they disagree, understand their roots, question intelligently, use technology wisely and place the nation’s larger interest above their immediate emotions. India does not need a silent youth but a courageous youth. But courage without character becomes aggression and knowledge without wisdom becomes arrogance and Freedom without discipline becomes chaos and any Protest without Respect becomes abuse.

The youth of India must therefore make a choice between becoming followers and becoming thinkers.

Youth has to understand that a nation is not destroyed in a day but it is weakened slowly, when its young people stop thinking independently, stop respecting one another, forget their roots and allow algorithms, celebrities and politicians to decide what they should believe. Also, there is no doubt that even the nation is built every day, one responsible citizen, one disciplined mind, one respectful conversation and one courageous young person at a time.

So the question is not whether today’s youth are Nation Builders or Nation Destroyers. The real question is: What are we teaching them to become? And what are they choosing to become?

Because tomorrow’s India is already sitting in today’s classroom, scrolling today’s reels, listening to today’s speeches and watching today’s behaviour.

And tomorrow will remember what we taught them.
